Why Beyond The Car Seat?

Four Year Update:

Well, I guess that happened, now there are two. Beyond the Car Seat is now a soup to nuts resource for parents of young children, but to be honest since they are both boys the insights tend to go in that direction. We got baby info, toddler info, and preschool info and stay tuned for school info and if you would like to contribute to a fancy private school to have my thoughts on that, no one is gonna stop you.

Three Year Update:

I can’t believe we are almost at the three year mark. So let’s begin with the obvious the focus of this website has shifted to cover mostly toddler related information and antics. On the one hand as I just wrote, I can’t believe LTD is closing in on being a three year old. And on the other hand since these last three years I have been ‘all in’ so to speak that I can’t remember my life when the little guy didn’t exist and I still can’t wrap my head around the fact that The Mommy and I created him. I hope you enjoy reading what I have to offer and to quote, Bill Cosby’s Fat Albert, “if you’re not careful, you might learn something before it’s done.”

First Year Update:

When preparing for a baby there is no shortage of places to turn for information. From conception, pregnancy, labor & delivery, newborn and childcare you will find what you need between the Internet, books, magazines, friends and family. Or when your mom calls. The fun part will be deciding what information to go use when the answers contradict each other. In fact, in the 21st Century the problem is not information, but too much information. Just do a google search on “what to do when my baby has fever?” or “Is poo suppose to be this color?” and see what happens. However, there has never been a better time to have a baby.

There is only one problem. There are somethings that they won’t tell you. Beyond the Car Seat seeks to fill you in on all the secrets, myths and gory details of raising LTD (Little Tax Deduction). Join new father Ben Soreff to explore the ups and downs of the cradle to college experience. Since LTD is only 8 weeks old, at first, the focus will probably be more on the cradle part. Now, I know what you’re thinking. What could a man possibly have to say about childbirth and babies? The answer is…we’ll see.

  • Great site. Colin M. sent me over (he said to tell you this…)

My son is 20 months now, so these days are long gone. But I still enjoy reading. Check our my mommy blog (momofhenri.wordpress.com) or my new writing project 30pov.com, whenever you have time, of course…like, when LTD is 5 years old..
