Founded by Johnson & Johnson, Text4Baby is a free mobile service that sends critical health information via text to new and expectant mothers and fathers. Since many parents lack the proper access to important healthcare information, the service provides new and growing families with the right information to help them care for and keep their children healthy.
82% of today’s dads whose oldest kid is 2 years old, feel that they share child care responsibilities evenly with their partners. Text4Baby is one way fathers can stay on top of their baby’s (and their partners’) health.
• What it is: a free mobile service that sends critical health information via text messages to new and expectant mothers and fathers.
• How it works: messages are customized and timed to users’ due date and continue through their baby’s first year of life.
• Enrollment: to-date over 323,000 people are enrolled in the program and receive 1-3 text messages a week on topics such as prenatal care, labor signs, breastfeeding and symptoms.
