Our good friend’s Kate and Joe hooked us up with this book on the advice of their daughter, Sophie. Sometimes I Like To Curl Up In A Ball by Vicki Churchill & Charles Fuge is a little gem from 2003. This board book stars a lovable wombat who talks about the things he likes to do and the games he likes to play. What makes this book truly great is the different expressions on the wombats face throughout the story. We are talking priceless territory. The book is a wicked big bestseller and has spawned a series of books starring the little wombat. Normally, I hate to jump on bandwagons, but and this bears repeating, the expressions on that junior wombat’s face are just too awesome. The story is told through simple rhyme about the wombat’s adventures. I will leave you with this, I challenge anyone to read this book and not feel something in his or her hearts (yes, even robots).
